Welcome

My husband and I have been married for almost 5 years and I'm planning on getting pregnant. Does anyone have any advice? What multivitamins should I buy? What type of diet should I be on? Should I get a physical exam? Any suggestions will be helpful as I'm starting my journey towards parenthood.

  1. I recommend a healthy diet and taking multivitamins daily.

  2. What an exciting time for you! I took "Elevit" tablets, which are specially designed for conception, pregnancy and breastfeeding. I tended to eat smaller meals more often to avoid indigestion and drank lots of water. There are foods to avoid once you're pregnant like soft cheeses, pre-prepared salads etc. I would recommend getting a physical exam. I also got a blood test done to check my immunity for german measles and chicken pox (both are dangerous during pregnancy). I had to get both vaccinations again and then had to wait 3 months before trying. Good luck and have fun trying :)
